An open source email client. Coupled with Lightning, a calender add-on, an outstanding replacement for Microsoft's Outlook. By using the add-on Provider for Google Calendar, Lightning will sync with your Google calendar. Another great add-on is Sync Kolab, which allows you to sync your Thunderbird addressbooks using IMAP mail.
